Anissa Hamlin

LMFT, MDiv

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy and work with individuals, couples, and families encountering a variety of life’s struggles. Individual as well as marital and family treatment may include dealing with marital concerns, communication/coping difficulties, parenting challenges, depression, anxiety, spirituality, trauma, attachment and boundary issues, co-dependence, addiction, and grief.

I consider it a privilege to work with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking greater emotional health, tools or strengths in emotional regulation, healthy communication and listening skills. My focused work includes those who have experienced relational difficulties, anxiety/depression, trauma, and ADHD/ADD.  I  help families, couples and individuals navigate and manage life within a neurodivergent/ADHD environment. I help create therapeutic environments for those healing from traumatic experiences within childhood and adult life.

I am fully trained in EMDR protocol, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory and Enneagram. My past professional expertise is as a trained elementary school teacher. I hold both a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary.

I see that taking the step into the therapeutic process is courageous and values the opportunity to hear your story while providing a safe and accepting place for internal, personal, and relational healing.
